RE: Request for Comments on Proposed Income Withholding Order Form

Dear Colleague:

The Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement has revised the Order/Notice to Withhold Income for Child Support form. A notice published in the Federal Register on February 13, 2007, requested public comments on the proposed income withholding order form (IWO), Income Withholding for Support.

Enclosed are copies of the proposed IWO, the instructions for the form, and a summary of the IWO revisions. Also enclosed is the notice from the Federal Register.

If you wish to comment on the form, please follow the instructions for public comment in the Federal Register notice. When commenting, please be sure to reference the OMB number associated with the form you are addressing, e.g., OMB 0970-0154 for the standard IWO form.

Consideration will be given to comments and suggestions submitted within 60 days of the Federal Register notice (by April 14, 2007).
