FYSB Invites Abstracts for its Annual Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Conference for State, Tribal and Competitive Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) and Abstinence Education Program Grantees

The Family and Youth Services Bureau announces its call for workshop session abstracts for its Annual Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Conference for State, Tribal and Competitive Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) and Abstinence Education Program Grantees.

The 2013 conference theme is “Putting Knowledge to Use: Sharing Diverse Practices to Improve Teen Pregnancy Prevention Outcomes.” This conference will build upon the 2012 grantee conference by providing attendees with opportunities to increase their capacity to effectively implement their selected programs and share diverse experiences to improve teen pregnancy prevention outcomes. The conference will be held May 29-31, 2013 at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel in Maryland.

Abstracts for interactive and engaging 90-minute breakout sessions in four learning tracks are due Monday, December 31, 2012. Learning tracks are designed to strengthen the effects of grant projects in reducing teen pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted infections through evidence-based and innovative programming, to include:

1) Evaluation/Data Collection

2) Implementation/Programming

3) Project Management

4) Working with Youth Populations/Cultural Proficiency
