Comment Period on Proposed Rules for the Runaway and Homeless Youth Program Ends June 13

The Family and Youth Services Bureau would like to remind the public that the comment period on proposed regulations for the Runaway and Homeless Youth Program ends on Friday, June 13, 2014.

The regulations would establish new program performance standards for Runaway and Homeless Youth grantees providing services to eligible youth and their families.  It also proposes revisions to existing performance standards to reflect recent statutory changes and to update procedures for soliciting and awarding grants.

The proposed regulations are published under the authority granted to the Secretary of Health and Human Services by the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (Title III of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974), 42 U.S.C. 5701 et seq. as amended by the Reconnecting Homeless Youth Act of 2008 (Public Law 110-378).
