Grant Forecasts Released for Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has released grant forecasts for the Family and Youth Services Bureau’s 2012 Runaway and Homeless Youth Program competitions.
FYSB is expected to release funding opportunity announcements for the Basic Center Program, which supports emergency shelters for homeless youth, and the Street Outreach Program, which enables organizations to serve youth living on the streets, in April.
The funding opportunity announcement for the Transitional Living Program, which supports longer-term housing and services for older homeless youth, is expected to be released in May.
Applications are expected to be due in June and awards are projected to start at the end of September. More than $35 million is estimated to be available for the three programs.
