El Title V State Abstinence Education Grant Program (Título V del Programa de Subvención Estatal para la Educación sobre la Abstinencia, AEGP, por sus siglas en inglés), provee fondos a los Estados y Territorios para impartir educación sobre la abstinencia, y donde sea apropiado, para proveer mentores, consejería y supervisión adulta para promover la abstinencia sexual.

RTI International is the training and technical assistance contractor for the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program within the Family and Youth Services Bureau.  The contractor provides training, technical assistance (PDF, 239KB) and annual conference planning on a broad array of teen pregnancy prevention strategies, including abstinence, contraception and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and HIV to Personal Responsibility Education Program grantees.

The Family and Youth Services Bureau funds the Support Systems for Rural Homeless Youth, or SSRHY, demonstration in six states, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Vermont. The demonstration's purpose is to explore ways to improve the delivery of services and supports to youth in rural communities who have little or no connection to stable housing and family situations.

The FVPSA Tribal grants are primarily for the provision of immediate shelter and related assistance for victims of domestic violence and their dependents.

The Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) provides funding for the on-going operation of a 24-hour, national, toll-free telephone hotline. The Hotline is an immediate link to lifesaving help for victims.  It provides information and assistance to adult and youth victims of family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence, family and household members, and other persons such as domestic violence advocates, government officials, law enforcement agencies and the general public. The Family Violence Prevention Fund will serve as a national clearinghouse of information on existing children exposed to domestic violence resources and emerging practices for service providers, State Domestic Violence Coalitions, States and Tribes.

The National Clearinghouse on Families & Youth (NCFY) is an information resource of the Family and Youth Services Bureau within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. NCFY helps current and prospective FYSB grantees – and anyone else who works with at-risk youth and families – to realize their goals, better serve their communities and improve the lives of young people and their families.
