Child Care Bureau (CCB): Supports low-income working families through child care financial assistance and promotes children's learning by improving the quality of early care and education and afterschool programs.

Grants target child care policy research projects that will add to our knowledge about the efficacy of child care policies and programs in supporting employment and self-sufficiency outcomes for parents, and providing positive learning and school readiness outcomes for children.

Children's Bureau (CB): Assists in the delivery of child welfare services designed to protect children and strengthen families.

Grants target programs with services for: abandoned, adoptable, and foster care children (including infants) including their families and caregivers, maltreated or sexually abused children, families at-risk for child abuse, child welfare practitioners, practitioner training, and technology and innovative programs.

Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB): supports programs that provide youth with positive alternatives, ensure their safety, and maximize their potential to take advantage of available opportunities.

Grants target programs with services for: at-risk, runaway, homeless and street youth and their families as well as victims of family violence and their dependents.

Office of Head Start (OHS): Administers the Head Start program, a comprehensive child development program for low-income children birth to five years and their families.
