Apply to be a Grant Reviewer

Child Care Bureau/Office of Family Assistance (CCB), Children's Bureau (CB), Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB), the Office of Head Start (OHS), and the Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE)/ACF are currently recruiting grant reviewers and panel chairpersons. Both novice and experienced reviewers are welcome to apply using ACYF Grant Web's five-step submission process.

 

Reviewer Confidentiality Statement

The content of grant applications is highly confidential. It is critical that no grant reviewer participate in a review of any grant application where a conflict of interest exists or may exist. Therefore, before reviewing a grant application, each grant reviewer will be given a Reviewer Confidentiality Statement to read and affirm by signature.

Step 1: Is Grant Reviewing Right for You?

This step reviews work and skill expectations for grant reviewers and panel chairpersons. Applicants can also view our disabilities statement in this section.

Step 2: Read the Want Ads

To match potential reviewers to future grant reviews, a series of want ads have been prepared. Each want ad has a corresponding job code. This step allows applicants to review the want ads to identify those that match their skills and experience.

Step 3: Prepare Your Resume

This step assists applicants in preparing their resume. All applicants are asked to submit a resume in a specific, easy-to-follow format. In this step, applicants can review the specified resume format, as well as a formatted resume sample.

Step 4: Prepare Your Writing Sample

This step assists applicants in preparing their writing sample. All applicants are asked to submit a writing sample using a specific writing topic. In this step, applicants can review the writing topic.

Step 5: Submit Your Information

This step lists the email address in which applicants will send their formatted resume and writing sample. While emailing is preferred, a postal mailing address is also listed.
