Currently, I am the Chairperson of the Department of Urban Affairs, Social Sciences & Social Work at the University of the District of Columbia. This is an administrative, supervisory position. I am also an Associate Professor of Political Science with specialty academic areas in American Government, Public Administration, Urban Politics, International Relations, and Public Policy Analysis. I am a Researcher who has managed and conducted grant-funded research (federal and private) projects in the areas of health policy issues, poverty, and children-related issues. I am a Volunteer Trainer for a juvenile partnership and crisis intervention program.

My fields of expertise are abandoned children or infants; boarder babies and drug affected children, children with special health care needs, child health services, Head Start, community-based services child care policy, public policy analysis, and medical, social, psychological, family services and social services.
