The Supporting Working Families with Access to High-Quality Early Care and Education report highlights actions that the Obama Administration has taken to help working families access high-quality early care and education, as well as some results of these investments to date. These efforts include:
- Child Care Development Fund
- Race to the Top–Early Learning Challenge
- Head Start program improvements
- Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program
The report was released in conjunction with the White House Summit on Working Families. The Summit focused on key issues like workplace flexibility, equal pay, workplace discrimination, worker retention and promotion, and childcare/early childhood education.
