ACF-800 Child Care Annual Aggregate Report and Instructions
March 7, 2013PURPOSE: To inform States and Territories that the Office of Management and Budget has renewed approval of the ACF-800 Report without any revisions. The form and instructions are attached.
BACKGROUND: Annual aggregate child care program information for the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is required by Section 658K of the CCDBG Act, as amended. The annual aggregate administrative information received through this collection provides the means to analyze and evaluate the CCDF program and the extent to which States are assisting families in addressing child care needs. This collection will provide the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) with the information necessary to make its biennial report to Congress, address national child care needs, offer technical assistance to grantees, meet performance measures, and conduct research.

Policy Interpretation Question: ACYF-PIQ-CC-99-01
October 2, 2012The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (P.L. 104-193) amended the Child Care Development Block Grant Act to allow Tribal Lead Agencies to use CCDF funds for construction or renovation of child care facilities. A tribal Lead Agency must first request and receive approval from the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) before using CCDF funds for construction or major renovation. Requests must follow uniform procedures (45 CFR 98.84; ACYF-PI-CC-05, dated August 18, 1997; and ACYF-PI-CC-97-06, dated November 4, 1997).
