Tribal Lead Agencies have the option of submitting the form ACF-696T either electronically through Online Data Collection (OLDC) or manually by mailing hard copies. ACF encourages grantees to use OLDC since it reduces paperwork, allows for quicker processing, automatically completes required calculations, and checks for potential errors.
ACF-700 Reporting Tips
September 18, 20121. Do not leave blank spaces on the ACF-700 form:
Every data element field should contain a count, an average, or NA* (Not Applicable). Do not use decimals, dollar signs, dashes, or other characters.
If you offer the service but did not serve any CCDF children or families in a given category, such as an age group or a type of care, record the number zero ("0") in the field.
If the information requested does not apply to your program—that is, you do not provide that service with your CCDF grant—enter NA.*

ACF-700 Submissions via Fax or Mail
September 18, 2012Unless the tribe does not have Internet access, the Office of Child Care prefers the Tribal Lead Agency to submit ACF-700 reports through the data entry and submission page on OCC's web site. This page contains a password-protected web-based form that checks the data for compliance with data standards at the time of submission. These built-in checking features make it easier for Tribal Lead Agencies to identify and correct errors. Use of the paperless Internet data entry site streamlines submission processing and improves data quality.
