The Office of Child Care's (OCC) 2nd Federal Register Notice soliciting comments on the FY 2014-2015 CCDF Plan Preprint for States and Territories was published on February 26, 2013 for a 30-day comment period. We have color-coded it for readers to see the changes that have been made. This Technical Bulletin describes how to use the Summary Data Assessment Report (Summary Report). Designated staff in States and Territories automatically receive this report via e-mail after their ACF-801 case-level data has been submitted to the Child Care Bureau (CCB) and has been processed in the Child Care Bureau Information System (CCBIS).1 Note that the Detailed Assessment Report no longer is generated by CCBIS and grantees may instead use the Child Care Data Viewer software to capture similar information.

PURPOSE: To inform States and Territories that the Office of Management and Budget has renewed approval of the ACF-800 Report without any revisions. The form and instructions are attached. 

BACKGROUND: Annual aggregate child care program information for the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is required by Section 658K of the CCDBG Act, as amended. The annual aggregate administrative information received through this collection provides the means to analyze and evaluate the CCDF program and the extent to which States are assisting families in addressing child care needs.  This collection will provide the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) with the information necessary to make its biennial report to Congress, address national child care needs, offer technical assistance to grantees, meet performance measures, and conduct research.
