PURPOSE: To inform States and Territories that the Office of Management and Budget has renewed approval of the ACF-800 Report without any revisions. The form and instructions are attached. 

BACKGROUND: Annual aggregate child care program information for the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is required by Section 658K of the CCDBG Act, as amended. The annual aggregate administrative information received through this collection provides the means to analyze and evaluate the CCDF program and the extent to which States are assisting families in addressing child care needs.  This collection will provide the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) with the information necessary to make its biennial report to Congress, address national child care needs, offer technical assistance to grantees, meet performance measures, and conduct research.

The purpose of this Bulletin is to clarify a number of issues surrounding the ACF-801 reporting requirements.  It has been updated to more fully address requirements and clarify other information.

Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Allocation tables show allocations, or the amount of funding awarded, to State, Territory and Tribal grantees based on Congressional appropriations for each fiscal year.

Per the FY 2010 Funding Opportunity Announcement (HHS-2010-ACF-OFA-TH-0134) for the Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program, prior to the end of the 3rd quarter after the Year 1 award date, HHS must provide grantees with detailed guidance for submitting both the needs assessment and plan for responding to identified needs (i.e., Phase 2 Implementation Plan).

Child Care and Development Fund Reporting Clarifications for Tribally Operated Centers

This Technical Bulletin lists the data standards for the ACF-801 Child Care Case Record Form.  This Form, which is submitted by States and Territories to the Office of Child Care (OCC), includes key case-level data required by the statute governing the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF).  The data standards described here serve as the principal guidance for identifying and correcting errors in case-level data and ensuring accurate data submissions.
