Using the ACF-800 Data Submission Site
The ACF-800 data may be entered and submitted electronically via the internet at the Office of Child Care's web site. At the login page of the submission site, enter your user name and password, and select the reporting period. If you are unable to enter your user name and password, please contact the National Center on Child Care Data and Technology (NCDT) toll-free at 1-877-249-9117.
Once you have successfully entered the secure site, the data-entry form and your individual profile will appear. The online form is designed to resemble the paper version. However, due to its size, the entire form will not be visible on your screen and you must scroll horizontally to view all the cells. If your state or territory has previously submitted data, you will see the data that was most recently entered. Please make sure that your profile is correct before proceeding to fill out the form. If there are errors in the profile, please contact NCDT.
Fill out the form and click the Submit button. If there are errors in the form data, the system will not submit the form until all the data is within acceptable ranges. Most of the cells must be filled in. If a required field is left blank, an error will occur. When errors are made in the data, the form will reappear and the cells with errors will be bright red. In addition, a description of the error(s) will appear at the top of the page. If you do not have any data to enter into a number cell, enter zero, dash, or NA, as appropriate.
