Earned Income Tax Credit Outreach Conference Call, Part II

Focus:

This was the second part of the two-part series call on the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). On this call, September 26th, listeners heard highlights on best practices, resources, and a network of agencies working to couple programs geared toward promoting a move out of poverty, increasing savings, and supporting wealth building; listeners will hear from agencies engaged in promoting and claiming EITC credits for low-income families and have, or are beginning a high impact asset building initiative. Listeners were also provided with resources and tools that will assist them in being more intentional with setting up and sustaining EITC campaigns in their communities.

On the first part of the call listeners got a general overview about EITC and how the tax tool can affect the assets of low-income families. Listeners also learned about resources available to those grantee agencies interested in engaging in a local/regional EITC asset building campaign. For a playback of this call, please dial 1-866-480-3543.

All attendees had the opportunity to ask questions of, and to discuss important EITC collaborative issues with our resident experts.
