Focus:

This call offered discussions of effective approaches to providing "asset-specific" assistance to AFI participants whose asset goal is postsecondary education or training.

  • Helping participants to choose an education and career path that will maximize their earning ability and complement their personal interests and abilities can be a complex task.

  • Accessing financial aid and other sources to support education requires thinking ahead about applications and planning for living as well as educational expenses.
  • Definitions of educational institutions eligible to receive AFI match funds and of allowable expenses are provided.
  • Links to financial aid sites are provided, as well as links to other sources to support educational choices.
