AFI Program Overview for Prospective Applicants
How to Apply for an AFI Grant in the June 2008 Application Cycle

Tuesday, May 13th and Thursday May 29th

Focus:

The first presentation in our series of webinars/conference calls will take place on Tuesday, May 13th, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, and again on Thursday May 29th, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.

Participants will learn about the Assets for Independence Demonstration, the Federal grant program for Individual Development Account projects. This special presentation gives background information, an overview of grant application procedures and requirements, and hints and tips for developing strong applications.  More specifically, this webinar will focus on the following topics for prospective grantees:

  • Asset Building Policy
  • Assets for Independence Program Overview
  • Application Procedures, Requirements and Timelines
  • Questions and Answers

The Project Builder is a step-by-step guidebook that discusses important topics to consider when planning an AFI project.  The Project Builder is an ideal tool for examining strategies on partnership development, financial literacy, and outreach to potential clients.
