CSBG Information Memoranda
November 19, 2012List of CSBG Information Memoranda (IMs) - The Office of Community Services, Division of State Assistance, publishes Information Memoranda (IM) for distribution to CSBG program administrators. An Information Memoranda (IM) provides guidance to assist in implementing the CSBG legislation, program instruction and policy clarification, in addition to disseminating information and program practices to stakeholders.

A network of 1,070 CSBG eligible entities, of which 87% were Community Action Agencies (CAAs), was active in 99% of U.S. counties;
The local CSBG network’s funding from all sources totaled over $11.2 billion;

IM No. 126: Use of CSBG funds to support summer jobs for youth
April 25, 2012IM # 126: A CSBG Information Memorandum that provides guidance on CSBG grantees' use of CSBG funds for coordination with community partners for the implementation of Summer Jobs+ programs and activities. Departments and Offices across the Federal government will be supporting Summer Jobs+, an initiative to encourage and support businesses, non-profits, and government to work together to provide pathways to employment for low-income and disconnected youth in the summer of 2012. In coming weeks, a Summer Jobs+ Bank will be posted for youth to access postings of jobs available through the Summer Jobs+ program.
