Dear Colleagues

The Affordable Care Act, signed into law by President Obama on March 23, 2010, has made substantial changes to the United States health care system, ranging from expanded coverage for uninsured Americans to a reformed insurance marketplace.    

During the month of September, the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be holding Regional Stakeholder Engagement Teleconferences with information on the new Health Insurance Marketplace & Expanded Insurance Options.  Please see the below listing of dates/times of these upcoming teleconferences, listed by region.  Also see the attached full invitation from CMS.  The Office of Community Services (OCS) encourages you to participate in a teleconference to increase your awareness of how the Affordable Care Act will impact you and your communities. 

OCS will continue to provide resources related to the Affordable Care Act and will post such information on our website as well.   As always, we appreciate your hard work and dedication to the important work of CSBG.
