Pre-Application Teleconference
If you are considering applying for the Strengthening Communities Fund (SCF) grant programs – Nonprofit Capacity Building Program or State, Local and Tribal Government Capacity Building Program – you are invited to join two free informational conference calls later this week. The calls are a service of the Office of Community Services and will be hosted by Thom Campbell, Program Manager and Jojie Rago-Adia and Renee Bergen, Program Specialists.
If you were unable to participate in one of the calls, you will have access to all of the materials on the SCF Website. The calls are being recorded and the recordings, along with the presentations and transcripts are available below:
The SCF State, Local, and Tribal Government Capacity Building Program partners with local government entities to support their outreach, training, and technical assistance efforts with nonprofit entities. The ceiling on individual awards is $250,000. The conference call for this program will be held Thursday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.

The SCF Nonprofit Capacity Building Program provides training, technical assistance, and financial assistance through a lead organization to nonprofit project partners. The ceiling on individual awards is $1,000,000. The conference call for this program will be held Friday, June 5 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.

The objective of the SCF program is to enable nonprofit organizations to contribute to economic recovery and help Federal, State, local and Indian/Native American Tribal governments ensure that the information and services described in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) reach disadvantaged and hard-to-serve populations.
