OFA Hosts Annual Healthy Marriage & Responsible Fatherhood Grantee Meeting

The Office of Family Assistance will host its annual grantee meeting on June 25–27 in Washington, DC. This year’s theme, “Building Self-Sufficiency, Fostering Community: Strength for Today, Hope for Tomorrow,” reflects the cornerstone principles that have guided this work since its inception.

Staff from each of the 121 Healthy Marriage & Responsible Fatherhood (HMRF) programs will participate in interactive workshops designed to increase peer learning and strengthen quality program implementation. Topics range from key Administration priorities that are important to HMRF programs and participants (men’s health, domestic violence prevention, workforce development, and the role of social media) to the importance of family strengthening, child well-being, and incarcerated/prisoner reentry research. Grantees will also share their perspectives, experiences, and promising practices on efforts to partner with domestic violence agencies and employment and career advancement activities.
