PROGRAM INSTRUCTION:
TO: Head Start and Early Head Start Grantees and Delegate Agencies
SUBJECT: Head Start FY 2008 Appropriation
INFORMATION:
The FY 2008 Head Start appropriation funds Head Start at $6,877,976,000. This is a reduction from the FY 2007 appropriation level of $10,595,000, or approximately 0.15 percent.
The Office of Head Start has determined that it will make available from FY 2008 one-time funds the $10.6 million shortfall. Therefore, no grantee will receive a funding reduction in FY 2008 because of the reduction in the program's appropriation.
