For more than fifteen years, the WREC has been a leading forum for family self-sufficiency and poverty researchers, State and local administrators, practitioners and program operators and Federal officials and policymakers to network with peers and discuss cutting-edge research on family self-sufficiency and social welfare programs and policies. The 2013 agenda will focus on the most current research on welfare, employment and family self-sufficiency programs and policies, while drawing on lessons from past research and experience in the field.
