Those from psychology, education, sociology, anthropology, pediatrics, medicine, psychiatry, social work, nursing, public health, law, epidemiology, and economics were represented. Special emphasis was placed on the strength of families, and the need for increased cooperation among researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.
