The range of well-represented family types included:
- Dual-parent families,
- Single-parent families where the caregivers were never married,
- Single-parent families where the caregiver was widowed, divorced,
or separated, and
- Families that were blended.
- Almost one half of all parents were married,
- Less than one half of the children lived with both their mother
and father,
- One third of the households were mother-only, and
- Two or more adults were present in just under three quarters
of the households.
