Madison, WI World Refugee Day - Community Dialogue: Bhutanese History and Culture

June 10, 2014 | 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM CST

Madison Central Library - 201 W Mifflin St., Madison, WI

Join Literacy Network and Bhutanese refugees to learn about the history and culture of the Nepali-Speaking Bhutanese people, their exile to Nepal and resettlement to the United States and Madison in particular.  Come prepared to ask questions and learn more about this unique culture.

The Dane County Refugee Network invites you to join us throughout the month of June to learn more about three significant refugee populations living in Dane County (Madison):  the Bhutanese, Iraqis, and Hmong.  These events are organized to commemorate World Refugee Day, an internationally recognized day of awareness that takes place every year on June 20th.  All events are free and open to the public.
