Film Screening:  Finding the Middle Way
This documentary presents the history, complexity and value of the Hmong-American community in Portage County, Wisconsin.  Personal stories are presented from Hmong and non-Hmong community members.  Topics explored include:  integration, cultural traditions, working life, inter-generational relationships, and Hmong and non-Hmong relationships.  Post-screening, the documentary team will be present for questions and discussion.

The Dane County Refugee Network invites you to join us throughout the month of June to learn more about three significant refugee populations living in Dane County (Madison):  the Bhutanese, Iraqis, and Hmong.  These events are organized to commemorate World Refugee Day, an internationally recognized day of awareness that takes place every year on June 20th.  All events are free and open to the public.
