SUBJECT: Proposed Notice of FY 2004 Social Service Allocations

Enclosed is the Proposed Notice of Allocations to States of FY 2004 Funds for Refugee Social Services published on Friday, March 19, 2004, in the Federal Register [69 FR 13056 (March 19, 2004)].

Comments on the proposed notice must be received by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) in writing by close of business on Monday, April 19, 2004.  Address written comments, in duplicate, to Kathy Do, Division of Budget, Policy, and Data Analysis (DBPDA), ORR, 370 L’Enfant Promenade, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20447; or by fax (202) 401-5487, or by email to kdo@acf.hhs.gov.

The proposed notice invites States that desire an adjustment to the State’s three-year population to submit certain data on  the following groups, namely asylees, and victims of a severe form of trafficking who have been provided assistance and/or services.  This data should be submitted separately as an Excel spreadsheet or other compatible spreadsheet format via e-mail to lbussert@acf.hhs.gov no later than Monday, April 19, 2004.  Please refer to page 13058, [69 FR 13056 (March 19, 2004)], of the proposed notice for detailed information.
