SUBJECT: Soliciting your input in preparation for the 2005 National Refugee Program Consultation

This year, unlike in previous years, the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) will NOT host a single national consultation to which all of our grantees could be invited. Instead, ORR will be holding three separate consultations during the week of November 7-10. While these consultations are by invitation only, we want to afford all of our partners in resettlement the opportunity to raise their concerns, ask their questions, and provide comments and suggestions to ORR as part of the consultation process. The purpose of this letter is to seek questions for the three upcoming "Partner Consultations" with States, MAAs, and National Volags.

Invited participants as well as practitioners from the field are requested to e-mail questions in advance of the Consultations - by the deadline of Monday, October 31st. Consultation staff will sort the questions for duplication and bring them to the appropriate Consultation, where they can be raised during Question and Answer sessions. ORR will attempt to address these questions and include responses in a report that will summarize the three consultations. We will then send the summary report out in a State Letter and post the report on the ORR website as well.

Please address your questions to one of the three Consultations - 1) States, 2) MAAs, or 3) Volags - and e-mail them directly to Diana Bui at both of the following e-mail addresses:

Thank you in advance for helping to expand the dialogue on the refugee program.
