TOM MILLER BIO

Tom is the Project Officer for the Administration for Children and Families Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS) Project acting as the central point of contact with the Board of Directors, other Federal agencies, and States for this computer matching process.  In 2010, he transferred from the Veterans Health Administration, Office of Health Information, Enterprise Systems Management Office, Health Provider Systems Portfolio where he was a Lead Program Specialist facilitating the definition and prioritization of business requirements and monitored project related costs, schedules, and performance targets.  In 2008, he transferred from the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) where he was a Policy Program Specialist in the Division of Policy responsible for providing policy guidance and interpretations to States according to Federal law.  He received the Administration for Children and Families Assistant Secretary's 2006 Partnering for Health and Human Services Excellence Award for his part as the Project Officer for establishing a series of regional Medical Support Collaboration meetings bringing together State Directors from Child Support Enforcement, Child Welfare, Medicaid, State Child Health Insurance Programs, and Tribal Child Support Enforcement to collaborate on ways to increase medical support for children and Medicaid cost savings through Child Support Enforcement activities.  Prior to joining OCSE in 2004, he was a consultant for ten years assisting several States implement their statewide automated Child Support Enforcement and Child Welfare systems.  He serviced in the Air Force as a special operations navigator and as a navigator flight instructor at the Department of Defense Undergraduate Navigator Flight Training School.  Tom received a BS in Health Education from Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville and an MS in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento.
