Regional staff support the 14th New England Fathering Conference, "Whole Fathers, Whole Families"

Supporting “Whole Fathers, Whole Families” some ACF regional staff participated in the 14th New England Fathering Conference held March 20th - 22nd in Portland, Maine. This annual conference brings together over 300 fathering practitioners, program providers, human service specialists and dads. Participants share information, inspiration and practical strategies on how to support fathers in becoming better parents and developing more effective relationships.

Keynote presenter “Zoro The Drummer” energized the crowd with poignant words on his experiences as a father and musician. ACF staff, along with community partners and grantees, presented workshops on the following topics:  Asset-building Approaches and Resources for Fathers and Families, Recruiting and Retaining Dads for Family Strengthening, Emergency Preparedness and Fatherhood, Integrating Relationship Skills and Healthy Marriage Education in Fatherhood Projects, and Supporting Dads with Skills for Employment and Job Retention.
