Welcome to the Oregon T/TA Network

Oregon Regional Technical Assistance Specialists work together to address training and technical assistance issues of Head Start and Early Head Start grantees in the state. Because they have the opportunity to visit regularly with programs around the state, they hear about common interests and concerns. They also have the opportunity to witness many innovative, creative and effective strategies that Head Start and Early Head Start staff members are using to meet the challenges of providing quality services for children and families.

  • Some examples of the areas we have provided individualized technical assistance are:
    • Program planning
    • Training and Technical Assistance plans
    • Organizational structure
    • Self assessment
    • Policies and procedures
    • Orienting new content managers
    • Providing resources
    • Suggesting trainers and consultants
    • Content area training and technical assistance in the area of health, disabilities, family and community partnerships, fiscal and education
    • Support for new content area managers and directors
  • We also provided Cluster Meetings and monthly Conference Calls
  • .
  • We also establish relationships with community, state and federal agencies region wide to support quality services for Head Start children and families.

Programs can request additional support or training from the Seattle based Content Specialists, and suggest topics for cluster meetings and conference calls. Just ask your T/TA Specialist.
