African American Healthy Marriage/Responsible Fatherhood Strengthening Families Forum

Memphis, TN April 23-24, 2013
Region IV ACF hosted an African American Healthy Marriage/Responsible Fatherhood     Forum in Memphis, TN on April 23-24, 2013. There were approximately 100 in attendance from several states including Tennessee, Georgia, Wisconsin, New York and Texas.    After greetings and welcoming remarks from the ACF Regional Administrator and the Mayor of the City of Memphis,  stakeholders present enthusiastically participated  in such dynamic workshops as: The School to Prison Pipeline, Collaboration, Coalition Building,  Resources of the National Resource Center for Healthy Marriage and Families,  What is Responsible Fatherhood, Re-Entry and Returning  Parents, Fathers Involvement in School Readiness and Early Childhood Education, The World Through the Eyes of Our Youth,  Strengthening African American Families Through Strong Relationships and  Healthy Marriages: What We  Know and Don’t Know. The workshop presenters were all incredibly well prepared and engaging.
