Affordable Care Act Outreach at MegaFest
MegaFest 2013: A Celebration of Relationships, Restoration of Families Through Faith, was a three-day inspirational festival that Bishop T.D. Jakes called a "celebration of relationships." 2013 marked the first time since 2006 that MegaFest was held in the United States, and a first-ever event for the city of Dallas. On August 29th, the festival attracted over 50,000 people and ACF, along with Centers for Medicaid Services, and the HHS Office of the Regional Director, was honored to set up a booth together to share information about the Affordable Care Act. For many MegaFest participants this was their first time learning about the Affordable Care Act and how it will affect them and their family.
