What We Do

ACF Region 1 serves six New England states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The Administration for Children and Families, a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, includes the broad range of federal programs that address the needs of children and families. These programs are at the heart of the federal effort to strengthen families and help all children succeed by bringing new ideas, insights, and leadership on issues that impact the lives of all Americans.

Organization, Leadership & Staff

The Office of the Regional Administrator (ORA) coordinates issues that may have significant regional or national impact, contributes to the development of ACF national policy based on knowledge of the region, and serves as the lead point of contact representing the Assistant Secretary for key state officials and stakeholders in the region.
