Children and youth who have gone through tough or traumatic times in their childhood really benefit from having solid support systems. Strong social connections can help them navigate the challenges of growing up and stepping into adulthood.
November is Youth Homelessness, Outreach, Prevention, and Education (HOPE) Month
National Youth HOPE Month shines a light on the plight of the nearly 4.2 million young people in the U.S. who experience homelessness or run away each year. Behind each statistic is a young person facing struggles with housing instability, mental health, family dynamics, or systemic inequalities, often without much-needed support or safety.
This month-long campaign seeks to illuminate their experiences, amplify their voices, and enhance community understanding. Through events, resources, and action-oriented programs, National Youth HOPE Month encourages everyone to learn, advocate, and join in the mission to provide all youth with the hope, resilience, and opportunities they need for a brighter future.
Together, we can work toward a world where no young person has to face these challenges alone.
