Artificial Intelligence (AI)

ACF believes Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help make government services more effective, timely, personalized, and accessible when people need services most. We are committed to supporting human services administrators in states, territories, localities, tribes, and community organizations in the safe and responsible use of AI.

Data

ACF's first data strategy aims to enhance our mission by providing insights that address real human needs. It improves federal leadership, fosters collaboration, and optimizes resource allocation for efficient human services. Additionally, it supports grant recipients with essential program management information and keeps the public informed about ACF's role in U.S. human services.

Research

ACF's Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) studies our programs and the populations they serve through rigorous research and evaluation projects. These include evaluations of existing programs, evaluations of innovative approaches to helping children and families with low-incomes, research syntheses, and descriptive and exploratory studies.
