Tahira Braschi

Program Specialist

Tahira (Ty) Braschi is a Program Analyst serving a dual role in ANA’s Division of Program Operations (DPO). She manages a portfolio of approximately 15 grantees in the Pacific region and 3 in the East;  her tasks includes grantee monitoring and oversight, annual new grant award process, monthly grantee meeting facilitation, site visits, special projects, and support to the Director of Program Operations, Mia Strickland.

Ty has been working at ANA since the summer of 2018.  She first started in the Office of the Commissioner, and then followed her heart and passion by moving to the Division of Program Operations, to work directly with the grantees.

Prior to starting at ANA, Ty worked within the Administration for Children and Families as an Executive Assistant, while serving as the right-hand of Political Appointees in the Immediate Office of the Assistant Secretary and in the Office of Head Start under three administrations.  Her more than 15 years of experience with grants in NGOs, including researching, writing, overseeing and managing grants, have ultimately led her to her to work on the grantor side in the Federal field.

She is a proud graduate of George Mason University with a background in Public Relations and International and Intercultural Communication.

Born and raised in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, Ty currently lives in Burke, Virginia with her teenage daughter and her four-legged mischievous pup, Teddy.
