Learn about the history of International Mother Language Day, an initiative of the United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This year's theme is: "Using technology for multilingual learning: challenges and opportunities." Hosted by the ANA Alaska Region Training & Technical Assistance Center, a brief overview will be given of the history of International Mother Language Day and the 2022 - 2032 International Decade of Indigenous Language.
A Presentation about the collaborative work of the Native Language Community Coordination Training and Technical Assistance Center (NLCC T/TA), will be given by Tachini Pete, Director of the ANA NLCC.
