The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is planning two virtual Tribal Consultations to be held March 26, 2021, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM and April 1, 2021 3:00 PM — 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time to discuss new programs funded under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
This bill provides ACF with $47.5 billion in additional appropriations and will support a variety of activities. Several new programs either have tribal set asides or will include Tribes and Tribal organizations as eligible entities.
Tribal leaders may provide oral testimony at the session and we will, to the extent that time allows, hear your testimony on these questions during the live virtual consultation. If you need assistance with registration, please call 1-877-922-9262.
Written testimonies for March 26th are requested by Friday, April 2, 2021, and can be submitted to anacommissioner@acf.hhs.gov; subject line: American Rescue Plan.
Registration for Consultation Session 2: OCS and FYSB Tribal Consultation.
Written testimonies for April 1 are requested by Friday, April 9, 2021, and can be submitted to anacommissioner@acf.hhs.gov; subject line: American Rescue Plan.
Please note that ACF will also hold a listening session for stakeholders other than tribal leaders, so unless you are a tribal government official, or are authorized to speak on behalf of the tribal government, with a tribal designation letter, we ask that you provide your feedback during the listening session.
