ANA’s February 2024 Reclaiming Native Voices features a resource guide to promote language preservation and revitalization.
This month’s language highlight is Clare Swan Early Learning Center, Yup’ik Immersion Language Nest. This guide also shares upcoming events including the OIED Webinar, Empowering Generations: Building Successful Language Programs and the Interagency Listening Session on Data Sovereignty and Intellectual Property in conjunction with the National Indian Education Association. Funding Opportunities are available through the First Nations Development Institute Native Language Immersion Initiative grant. Applications are due March 4, 2024.
