ACF Debuts Program Directory, Resource Guide in Spanish

On Feb. 25, Administration for Children and Families officials rolled out the Spanish-language ACF Program Directory and Community & Faith-Based Guide to Resources at an all-day symposium with Hispanic community leaders in New Jersey.

More than 50 leaders attended the event hosted by Health and Human Services and ACF Region 2, along with the New Jersey Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Children and Families, in collaboration with the Hispanic Theological Initiative.

“It was a great meeting of committed and engaged Hispanic stakeholders who are looking forward to working closely with state and federal agencies to improve the quality of life in the Hispanic community,” said Laura Irizarry, Special Assistant to the ACF Assistant Secretary, who presented at the symposium held at Erdman Center in Princeton University.

For the past year, Irizarry worked with ACF staff to identify key ACF program materials to translate into Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean. The first installment of translated materials is being made available to the public this week. Currently, these materials are available online in PDF format:
