35th Anniversary Presentation – Celebrating Our Past, Charting Our Future
DCL-10-25
DEAR COLLEAGUE LETTER
DCL-10-25
DATE: December 15, 2010
TO: State IV-D Directors
Dear Colleagues;
July 1 marked the 35th Anniversary of the National Child Support Program. We have since had many opportunities to celebrate the program’s past and discuss our future. In fact, that's the theme of a video presentation OCSE developed to commemorate the occasion.
The video reflects upon the child support program's milestones, services, and accomplishments since Congress created the program in 1975. It also illustrates a more family-centered approach to delivering child support services—an approach that combines our traditional remedies with newer, collaborative strategies that can be selectively used to most effectively secure financial and emotional support for children.
Many of you have seen the video and thought it would be useful for training and outreach. I am, therefore, enclosing a CD copy of Celebrating Our Past, Charting Our Future, which can be viewed on computers in a DVD/CD drive or in a CD drive only. For questions, please contact Gabby Pagin (retired). This video comes with my thanks for your active partnership in the child support program and your determination to deliver the best possible services, especially during these challenging times.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season.
