RE:  FPLS Minor Release 15-01

Dear Colleague:

The federal Office of Child Support Enforcement produced the following Release 15-01 enhancements to the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS), which took effect in the timeframes listed in parentheses below.

Electronic Document Exchange (EDE)

  • Enhance the EDE application (August 2015)

    We made several changes to incorporate recommendations received from EDE users.

Federal Case Registry (FCR)

  • Allow the FCR Query Even if the Person Is Not in a IV-D Case (July 2015)

    We enhanced the FCR Query application to allow you to view participant information even if your state does not have a case associated with the participant’s Social Security number (SSN) in the FCR.

  • Enhance the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) Match (October 2015)

    We enhanced the FCR to filter redundant DMDC proactive match response records.

  • Assign SSN Validity Code ’E’ (October 2015)

    We enhanced the FCR to assign SSN validity code ’E’ whenever we use additional data the state supplied to identify a verified SSN.

  • Provide the Origin Code on Acknowledgment and Locate Response (November 2015)

    We enhanced the FCR to identify the origin of locate requests on the Acknowledgment and Locate response.

Federal Collections and Enforcement (FCE)

  • Enhance the FCE application (October 2015)

    We enhanced the FCE application on the Portal to supply additional information associated with an offset trace number.

Intergovernmental Reference Guide (IRG)

  • Enhance the IRG application (October 2015)

    We enhanced the IRG to include new functionality, including the Hague Country Profile questions in support of the Hague Treaty.

Query Interstate Cases for Kids (QUICK)

  • Provide a Link to IRG on QUICK (March 2015)

    We enhanced the QUICK application to include a link to open the IRG.
