Social Security Administration (SSA) Data Exchange Transition

DEAR COLLEAGUE LETTER

DATE: September 02, 2008
TO: ALL STATE AND TRIBAL IV-D DIRECTORS
RE: Social Security Administration (SSA) Data Exchange Transition
Dear Colleague:
On August 19, 2008 the Social Security Administration (SSA) released an announcement to its data exchange business partners notifying them of an award to Proginet Enterprise Solution as a replacement to the Sterling Commerce Connect:Direct data exchange software product. Information is preliminary during this phase of the transition but SSA has established a timeframe of June 2009 for all Connect:Direct exchanges to be migrated to the new data exchange solution, Cyberfusion Integration Suite. The Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) is coordinating this effort with SSA to determine the level of effort and resource impact on OCSE's data exchange partners.
During the migration phase there will be no interruption to Connect:Direct exchanges. OCSE will work with SSA and each of our data exchange partners to determine a schedule to successfully transition to the new data exchange solution. OCSE will continue to keep you informed as the transition moves forward. If you have specific questions about the conversion, contact Charlotte Hancock at charlotte.hancock@acf.hhs.gov
Sincerely,
Margot Bean
Commissioner
Office of Child Support Enforcement
