Notice of Interstate Lien form and instructions (PDF) (OMB No. 0970-0153)

The federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approved the Interstate Administrative Subpoena form and instructions (OMB No. 0970-0152) and Notice of Interstate Lien form and instructions (OMB No. 0970-0153) without change. These forms are used in interstate case processing. The new expiration date is June 30, 2018.

According to procedures under the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), all federal forms must be reviewed at least every three years. As part of this process, the Administration for Children and Families published a 60-day Federal Register public notice on May 18, 2016 (81 FR 31242  (PDF)) and a 30-day public notice on October 4, 2016 (81 FR 68421  (PDF)) soliciting comments on the forms and their associated user burden.

OMB approved the current forms for use until June 30, 2018, so that OCSE, with the help of a state-federal workgroup, has time to address several issues that were identified during the last public comment periods, particularly the need to protect personally identifiable information. In the coming year, OCSE will solicit comments from states and the public on revised Interstate Administrative Subpoena and Notice of Interstate Lien forms according to the PRA process.
