Historic Investments Help Improve the Lives of Children and Families through the American Rescue Plan Act

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) provides ACF an unprecedented $47.5 billion designed to improve the lives of families and children devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic downturn. The Act provides funding for critical Administration for Children and Families (ACF) programs to rebuild communities, empower families, support child well-being, and address racial inequities.

American Rescue Plan at Work with Martha’s Table Head Start program in Southeast Washington, D.C

Funds from President Biden’s American Rescue Plan (ARP) are at work in communities across America to support children and families. Head Start programs received $1 billion investment through the ARP. They are using the funding to build back to fully operational, in-person comprehensive services this summer and fall.
