13th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect

The 13th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect took place in April 23-28, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. Approximately 2,100 participants attended.

The conference theme, “Faces of Change: Embracing Diverse Cultures and Alternative Approaches,” recognized the fact that diversity brings together a multitude of approaches to the conference to address the key issues in the field of child abuse and neglect. The theme also reflected the expectation that when we build on the strengths found in our differences, we create positive opportunities for change. The 13th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect was a celebration of our strengths in the face of new challenges as we strive to protect children and strengthen families.
