Child Welfare Worker Safety in the time of COVID:

CDC Recommendations for In-Person Interactions with Families

The Children’s Bureau partnered the CDC to conduct a webinar on Child Welfare Worker Safety in the time of COVID: CDC Recommendations for In-Person Interactions with Families. The purpose of this webinar was to review relevant guidance and recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on how to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 while conducting in-person interactions with children and families. Participants also heard how these recommendations are being implemented in practice in Massachusetts.

The Child Welfare Compliance Reviews Team at JBS International, Inc., assists the Children's Bureau in recruiting, training, and maintaining a national NYTD Reviewer pool of young people who meet the established minimum requirements.

This brief present highlights of State reports from fiscal year 2013 to the National Youth in Transition Database, including information on independent living services paid for or provided to youth.

This presentation was created by the RISE grantee as an orientation to issues relevant to youth in foster care who are lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered and question (LGBTQ) and the importance of emotional support.
