This report presents results from a national research study, which was conducted by Child Welfare Information Gateway with funding from the Children’s Bureau, to better understand how child welfare professionals who work in state and local child welfare agencies, with tribes, and in courts access information and use technology to inform their practice.

The purpose of this Information Memorandum (IM) is to demonstrate that family and youth voice are critical to a well-functioning child welfare system and to strongly encourage all public child welfare agencies, dependency courts, and Court Improvement Programs to work together to ensure that family and youth voice are central in child welfare program planning and improvement efforts.

This checklist describes all the required elements of states' CFSPs and APSRs. It was developed to help states ensure their submissions include all required elements. Items on the checklist have been shortened; see Program Instruction ACYF-CB-PI-20-02 for a complete description.
